Brow and lash studios
A brow and lash website that rebooks in two taps, not ten messages
Lash and brow clients come back every few weeks, and most of them already know what they want. Your site has to make the rebook quick, make a new client's patch test and first visit clear, and put the refill rule where it is read before the booking.
Short services, loyal clients
A lash client who likes your work does not shop around every time. They rebook a refill every few weeks, often from their phone, often late at night. For those clients, the website is mostly a route to the booking tool, and every extra tap is a chance to put it off.
New clients behave differently. They look at the style of lashes or brows you do, check whether a patch test is needed, and read the refill rules before they commit to a full set. Many find you through Instagram, then open your website to check prices and policies, because a grid of photos does not tell them what a hybrid set costs or what happens if they are late.
Brow and lash studios also tend to have policies clients misread: refill cut-offs, removal of another studio's work, and deposits for longer appointments. Written clearly on the site, next to the price they affect, those rules stop the awkward conversation at the desk.
Plenty of lash artists work from a home studio or a shared room. The site should look just as considered, with the suburb shown and the exact address sent with the confirmation if that is how you prefer to work.
What usually goes wrong for brow and lash studios
Four common problems on brow and lash studios websites, and what each one costs.
-
New and returning clients get the same Book button
What it costs. First-timers skip the patch test, and refills get booked as full sets or the other way round.
-
The refill window is explained at the desk
What it costs. A client arrives with a set that needs a full redo, expecting the refill price, and the conversation starts badly.
-
The styles page is a wall of client faces
What it costs. Nobody can say which clients agreed to be shown, and faces are personal information under the Privacy Act.
-
Price rises reach the booking tool but not the website
What it costs. The site says one price, the booking screen says another, and the client trusts neither.

Photos, patch tests and client details
A general summary, not legal advice. Check the rules that apply to your business, including any local council requirements for home-based studios.
Client photos
Lash and brow work sells through close-up photos of faces. The OAIC lists photographs as an example of personal information that could identify someone: photographs can be personal information 1 . Before any client photo goes on your site, get the client's written consent for that use, and keep a record of it. Photos you took of a model with a signed release, or of your own lashes, avoid the question.
Patch tests and product safety
Whether you require a patch test, and how long before an appointment, is your decision based on the products you use and the manufacturer's instructions. The website repeats your policy word for word. It doesn't describe tints, glues or lamination products as safe for everyone, and it doesn't make claims about allergies or reactions.
Deposits and cancellations
If you take deposits, say how much, when they are kept and when they are returned, before the client pays. The same wording should appear in your booking tool so the site and the confirmation never disagree.

Questions from brow and lash studios
More answers about the plan are on the FAQ page.
Can the site send new clients to book a patch test before their first set?
Yes. If your booking tool has a separate patch test service, we point the "new client" button at that service and explain on the page why it comes first. Returning clients get a separate button that goes straight to refills and full sets.
How do you show lash styles without a wall of client photos?
A styles page can describe classic, hybrid and volume sets, lifts and lamination in words, with photos you own or have permission to use. Photos of clients' faces are personal information, so we only publish them when you confirm the client has given written consent.
Our refill policy is strict about how long a set can go. Where does that go?
On the refills page and next to every refill price, in the exact words you use at the desk, plus a short version in your booking policy. Clients who read it before booking are less likely to arrive expecting a refill price for a set that needs a full redo.
I work from a home studio. Will the site show my address?
Only if you want it to. Many home studios show the suburb on the site and send the full address with the booking confirmation. You tell us what to publish, and we set up the contact page to match.
Can I change prices when I raise them for the new financial year?
Yes. Price changes are content edits, and up to 5 a month are included. Send the new price list and the date it starts, and we update every page that shows those prices.
